I just read the best book I have read all year (yes, I know 2008 is still quite fresh, but still...) Its about a nine year old boy named Oscar who goes on a treasure hunt in New York city. He has a key, which he found in his fathers (who passed away under 9/11), closet in an envelope that have the letters «Black» written on it. So to find the lock that matches with the key, he starts visiting everyone with the last name Black in the city. (why does it always sound so boring when I try to explain what a story is about?) anyway. The reason why I like this story is because of the logic in Oscars mind. He thinks like a true (only incredibly intelligent) nine year old child. I wish I could be nine years old again . Imagine if you suddenly was nine again. There would be no grey sones. Everything would be either good or bad and pretty or ugly. There would be no colours between green and blue (like turqiose or seagreen) If you lost a game, or got a bad grade, you could be angry and kick something and then get mad at the thing you kicked, because it hurt your foot! You could buy a bread in the campus shop and pay with pine nuts. You could sing out loud on the bus without anyone tinking you were a retard or on drugs. And if you fell asleep infront of the telly, you would miracolously wake up inyour bed the next day, and you didnt have to wake up to take out your stupid contacts! You would still think it would be possible to live on a diet of cake and lolloipops, and that it would be possible to build your house out of LEGO bricks!
And by the way, did you know there are cirka 62 lego bricks for every person in the world?
